MEETING OF MUSIC INDUSTRY MINDS
This was an incredibly interesting conference, it gave us the chance to better understand the music business from the perspective of new international friends, while giving them an opportunity to understand the contour of the environment in China. Overall, this was an excellent experience.”

TransmitCHINA has been in China since 2008, and in 2009, Split Works stepped in to make it the Asia’s equivalent of the Transmission Global Summit that has been held in Canada since 2004.
Music conferences can be split between those of the “old” industry and those of a new, dynamic and breakaway school of thought, collections of people trying to revolutionize a fundamentally broken system.
TransmitCHINA 2010 brought, for the first time, the innovative round-table concept trialed at Transmission to the Middle Kingdom. Instead of a conference with a one-to-many keynote style format, TransmitCHINA broke down the invite-only audience of leading Chinese and Western Music industry professionals into small groups of 10. Simultaneous translation was provided for each group, and across two day of conference in Shanghai, true insights on the Chinese Music Industry were shared and new business models born.
TransmitCHINA 2010 also consisted of 48 artist showcases in 7 different Chinese cities, 3 business-to-business roundtables in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Beijing and the 2-day conference in Shanghai, all organized, promoted and managed by Splatter, Split Works and their Canadian partner, TNT Productions.
